Refund Policy - Website Builds
Overview
Website Builds are service-based projects delivered by Business Accelerator Agency. They may include Shopify setup, theme setup, page creation, design direction, copy placement, mobile optimisation, navigation, footer setup, policy page setup, and launch preparation depending on the agreed scope.
Because website builds involve planning, design, setup, time allocation, creative work, and project delivery, refunds are limited once work has commenced.
Before Work Commences
If you have paid for a Website Build but work has not yet started, you may request a refund before any planning, setup, design, strategy, account access, theme work, page building, or project preparation has commenced.
If Business Accelerator Agency has already completed onboarding, reviewed your materials, planned the build, accessed your Shopify store, selected or configured a theme, or started any setup work, reasonable fees may be deducted from any refund.
Deposits
Deposits are generally non-refundable once work has commenced.
A deposit secures project availability, planning time, admin work, and the commencement of the website build.
If the client cancels after paying a deposit and before work has started, Business Accelerator Agency may review the refund request depending on timing, preparation completed, and any written agreement.
After Work Commences
Refunds are generally not available once website work has commenced for:
- Change of mind
- Deciding not to proceed
- Delays caused by the client
- Not providing content, images, access, or information
- Changing the website direction after work has started
- Wanting a different theme after approval
- Requests outside the agreed scope
- Dissatisfaction caused by limitations of Shopify or the selected theme
- Deciding to use another provider
- Not launching the website after completion
Shopify Theme And Platform Limitations
Shopify themes have design and functionality limitations. Refunds are not provided because a client later requests custom functionality, advanced animation, layouts, features, or design outcomes that are not possible within the selected theme or agreed scope.
If additional development, paid apps, or custom work is required, this may be quoted separately.
Client Delays
The client is responsible for providing required information, access, images, branding, product details, service details, pricing, policy information, and feedback in a timely manner.
Refunds are not provided for project delays caused by the client failing to provide required materials, feedback, approvals, or access.
Revisions
Reasonable revisions may be included as part of the website build process.
Refunds are not provided simply because the client requests additional revisions outside the agreed scope, changes their mind after approval, or wants a full redesign after work has already been completed.
Cancellation During The Project
If the client cancels the project after work has commenced, Business Accelerator Agency may retain payment for work already completed, time allocated, project planning, setup, design, communication, and any costs incurred.
If partial work has been completed, any partial refund will be assessed at Business Accelerator Agency’s discretion and may be reduced based on the amount of work already delivered.
Third-Party Costs
Third-party costs are not refundable by Business Accelerator Agency.
This may include Shopify subscriptions, paid themes, paid apps, domains, email hosting, plugins, software, stock assets, or any other third-party fees paid by the client or committed as part of the project.
After Completion
Once the website has been completed, approved, handed over, published, or considered finalised under the agreed scope, refunds are not available for change of mind.
Any future edits, maintenance, troubleshooting, new pages, redesigns, app support, or additional work may require a separate quote.
