Mentorship sessions are generally held weekly via Zoom. If you are based in Adelaide, there may be opportunities to meet in person at your business, your workspace, or a quiet environment where we can work together properly. If you are interstate and I happen to be in your state, I also like to make an effort to meet in person where possible and see your business in real time. For efficiency, most mentorship sessions are run through Zoom. This also allows us to record each session, so you can rewatch the meeting, review the transcript, and revisit anything we covered if needed.
This is completely 1-on-1 support. The mentorship is tailored to you, your business, your goals, and the specific challenges you are facing. All Zoom sessions are recorded, so you can rewatch them and access transcripts whenever you need to revisit the strategy, feedback, or action steps we discussed.
The focus becomes clear during the discovery call. We start by understanding your current situation, your business goals, what you are struggling with, and why you are looking for mentorship. From there, we identify the most important area to focus on first. By the end of the discovery call, we will aim to define one major goal and create clear action steps to work towards over the coming weeks.
Yes. If you are just starting out, we can use the discovery call to go through your business idea, assess the opportunity, and discuss whether it is worth pursuing. I will also guide you through practical ways to conduct market research, validate demand, and determine whether the idea is worth testing properly.
Yes. We can look at your current offer, or an idea you are considering, and work through how to make it clearer, stronger, and more appealing to the right audience. This may include market research, competitor analysis, offer positioning, pricing, value proposition, and identifying what makes your business different.
Yes. Understanding your target audience is one of the most important parts of building a successful business. Once we identify who your business is best suited for, we can then work on how to position your brand, offer, messaging, and marketing so it speaks directly to that audience. The goal is to make your business easier to understand, easier to trust, and easier to buy from.
Yes. We can review your pricing together, whether you already have an existing offer or you are starting from scratch. Generally, we will look at the market, understand the average price point for similar offers, and then decide where your business should sit. From there, we can determine whether your offer should be positioned as more affordable, premium, or somewhere in between. Pricing also ties into your target audience, brand positioning, offer structure, and the level of value you are providing.
Yes. A clear business plan takes thought, strategy, and research, but it becomes the guiding direction for your business. I will help you take your bigger business vision and break it down into clear quarterly, monthly, and weekly goals. This allows you to stop operating from guesswork and start making decisions based on a structured plan.
Yes. We can work on your marketing strategy from multiple angles, including organic content, paid advertising, creative direction, copywriting, messaging, platform selection, and how your content connects to your broader business goals. The aim is to create marketing that is more intentional, consistent, and aligned with what you are actually trying to achieve.
Yes. We can conduct a full sales funnel review, looking at every stage from the first point of contact through to the final sale. Depending on your business, this may include improving your sales calls, follow-up process, appointment setting, lead generation, website conversion rate, enquiry process, offers, messaging, or overall customer journey. The goal is to identify where potential customers are dropping off and improve the process so more attention turns into revenue.
Yes. I can guide you through building or improving your website and provide feedback on structure, messaging, user experience, offers, and conversion points. We also offer website builds as a separate service. If you would prefer to outsource your website instead of building it yourself, you can visit the “Website Builds” section on our website to learn more.
Yes. AI is something I have heavily leaned into over the past few years, specifically from a business, marketing, operations, and problem-solving perspective. During mentorship, I may walk you through how I personally use AI to think through problems, create content, improve systems, research markets, plan offers, and save time. If you have specific questions about AI or want to explore how it could be used inside your business, we can work through that together.
Yes. The first step is understanding what the system is for. It may relate to sales, admin, marketing, content, operations, client delivery, hiring, or general workflow. From there, we can explore different software, tools, automations, and processes that suit your current stage of business. A smaller business may need a leaner, more cost-effective system, while a larger company may benefit from more advanced software. The goal is to create practical systems that save time, reduce confusion, and make the business easier to manage.
Yes. The purpose of the mentorship is to help your business grow in the areas that matter most. If you are earlier in your journey, growth may mean building stronger foundations, improving your offer, creating better systems, or getting more consistent with marketing. If you are more established, growth may mean improving revenue, refining your sales process, scaling your marketing, building a team, or strengthening operations. The focus depends on where your business is now and what needs to happen next.
You should expect clarity, direction, honest feedback, and a focus on growth. It is important to understand that business mentorship may push you outside your comfort zone. You may come in looking for help with one thing, but after reviewing your business, I may identify a different priority that needs attention first. For example, you may ask how to improve your Instagram ads, but after reviewing your audience and offer, I may suggest that another platform, strategy, or sales process needs to be tested instead. There are no specific guarantees in business. What I can provide is clear guidance, practical strategy, accountability, and advice based on my experience, with your business growth at the centre of every decision we make.
It depends on what we are working on. Some areas, such as refining your branding, improving messaging, or clarifying an offer, can often be progressed quickly. Other areas, such as rebuilding a sales process, developing a funnel, improving lead generation, or creating new systems, may take several weeks. The best way to get a realistic expectation is to book a discovery call. Once I understand your business, your goals, and what you want to work on, I can give you a much clearer idea of what progress may look like.
No — success in business is never guaranteed. Any business coach or mentor promising guaranteed success should be treated with caution. Every business is different, with different offers, audiences, goals, resources, and definitions of success. What I can guarantee is that I will take your goals seriously, give you honest guidance, and treat your business with the same level of care and focus as I would my own. Your success matters to me because your results are directly connected to my reputation. I will not give you false hope, but I will back you, guide you, and put genuine effort into helping your business move forward.
I generally allocate a 2 to 4 hour timeslot for mentorship each week, depending on what we are working on and what your business needs at the time. In some cases, we may do a check-in at the start of the week and another at the end. In other cases, we may have one deeper session each week where we review progress, work through strategy, and set the next action steps. The expectation is that you are willing to take action between sessions, complete the agreed tasks, and stay committed to the process.
Free business content can be valuable, and I also share free advice through social media. The difference is that free content is general. It is not tailored to your specific business, your current stage, your goals, your audience, or the challenges you are personally facing. You have to spend time searching through different sources to find advice that actually applies to your situation, which can be inefficient and overwhelming. Business mentorship gives you direct guidance based on your actual situation. Instead of trying to piece together random advice online, you get support from someone who can look at your business, understand what is happening, and help you decide what to focus on next. If you are happy figuring things out on your own, free content may be enough. But if you are stuck, overwhelmed, or looking for clearer direction, mentorship gives you a more personalised path forward.
I built and ran a course business for several years, so I understand the value that a good course can provide. The difference is that a course is usually designed to be scalable. It teaches through pre-recorded videos, templates, and general frameworks. That can be helpful, but it is not the same as personalised 1-on-1 guidance. With direct mentorship, you are not trying to apply generic lessons to your business alone. You are working with me directly. Business Accelerator Agency’s mentorship is run by me, Zane Johnson. I share my experience, knowledge, tools, resources, and perspective first-hand. The support is more personal, more specific, and more connected to your actual business.
